Romans 8:16-17 says:” the spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God, and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. . . .”
* Being children of God through Christ and joint heirs through Him, means that wherever He goes we shall go. It also means that we are inseparable from His everlasting fate and that wherever He shall be, there also shall we be.
* As an heir to the Most High God with Christ, we should be ready to sink and swim with Him, knowing that He is our passport to reach God, our Father.
* 2 Corinthians 5:21– “For He made Him who knew no sin to become sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” From the foregoing, it means that the only way a Christian can reach God or become righteous or accepted is through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice at the Cross of Calvary.
*The sacrifice of Christ on Calvary is not only your qualification for righteousness. It also served as your qualification for your rights and privileges as an heir.
*Christ removed all barriers between us and God because His sacrifice on the Cross, not only qualified us for access to God but kept God’s commandments on our behalf.
