YOU CAN CALL GOD ‘ABBA FATHER’.

Galatians 4:6 says: “And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His son Jesus Christ into your hearts, crying out, Abba Father.”

*Note from the above that God has sent the Spirit of His son, Jesus Christ into our hearts and that it is now indwelling in us, who believe in the gospel of Christ.

*Now that we have accepted Christ, we are entitled to call God “Abba Father”, when in need, because we are now in the ‘beloved’, having become His sons and daughters.

*Before the advent or coming of Jesus Christ, man could not call God father. It was Jesus who qualified us to be sons and daughters and not servants anymore.

*Matthew 7:11 further affirms our sonship in God by saying: “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him.”

*You don’t need to pay something or do something to become a son or daughter of God. Only believe in the death and sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross to qualify to call Him Abba Father, as well as enjoy His very many benefits.

*Ephesians 1:6 says: “. . .to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”

*Being accepted in the Beloved (Christ) means we are entitled to whatever Jesus Christ is entitled to: such as calling God Abba Father now that we are His heirs, sons and daughters.

*What God called His son Jesus Christ during His baptism in the River Jordan by John the Baptist, He calls you and I believers today (Mark 1:11).
