WHO’S ON THE LORD’S SIDE?
Exodus 32:26 says: Then Moses stood at the entrance of the camp and said, “who is on the Lord’s side? Come to me.”
*While Moses was on Mount Sainai procuring the Ten Commandments which the Israelites asked for, they were in their camp in the wilderness worshipping other gods and golden images. That sinful act prompted Moses to ask the above question.
*As a Christian, you are expected to embrace the Almighty God and be on the side of our Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God, through whom we reach God in prayer and worship.
*A Christian should not worship any other god, image or man; no matter the lure.
*God’s grace is sufficient for every Christian and you don’t need help from any other source or God. In 2Corinthians 12:9, God told Apostle Paul : “my grace is sufficient for you”. And that assurance was meant for all of us Christians.
*Being on the Lord’s side, to a Christian, means being on the winning side. And this takes me back to 1995 when, as Commissioner for Agriculture in Abia State, I witnessed a tug-of-war performance by youth corps members at their swearing-in event, when one side came crashing to the ground without much resistance.
*That incident immediately set me thinking about an imaginary tug-of-war between God and Satan, and how it would be an easy walk-over
*The Holy Spirit must have used that incident to tell me that the devil won’t even get 1% if there were to be power- sharing between it and God.
*Thirty years ago, I was shy to tell anyone, “the Holy Spirit told me.” What I usually told people if I had a leading in my heart was, “something told me.”
*Isaiah 41:10 tells everyone on the Lord’s side: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
*Embrace God, be on the Lord’s side. He’s sure to bless, heal and save !
