BE A GOOD POLITICIAN, FOLLOW THE RULE.

*If you read my book, THE PAYOFF LINES, which was presented to the public at my seventieth birthday anniversary in 2024, you are bound to come across my opinion on, and condemnation for rigging and non-adherance to guidelines or rules at elections generally (page 224); be they for political, religious or social purposes.

*Anyone who calls him or herself a child of God must at all times, ensure that any election he or she is involved in, is conducted according to the will of God and man.

*Exodus 18:31 says: “Moreover, you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness, and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties and rulers of tens.”

*Many of us politicians want to win at all costs, even if it means cheating to win; but when we are rigged out by others, we complain.

*However, as children of God (Christians and non-Christians), politicians ought to be men and women who have the fear of God, hating covetousness and cheating, according to the above quotation.

*All over the world (including Nigeria), political parties from time to time hold their congresses to elect or select party officials to replace out-going ones, in some cases.

*Also, in many democracies, political parties hold primary elections to elect or select candidates who will run for political offices in a general election to usher in a new government.

*It is therefore expected that every good politician involved, either as a worker or contestant, follows the rules of engagement and avoids cheating; as no one would love to be cheated.
