Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz is expected to spend more time on the sidelines after picking up a muscular injury, according to reports. The setback arrives shortly after the German international made his return from a long spell out, adding another interruption during an already stop-start season for the 26-year-old.
Havertz had shown promising form in the brief period he was available earlier this month, contributing two goals and two assists. However, he is now set to miss the club’s upcoming league fixtures, including the meeting with Brentford and the North London derby against Tottenham on February 22. Although the issue is not considered as severe as some of his earlier problems, it is still a disappointing blow at a key point in Arsenal’s campaign.
The forward’s fitness has been a lingering concern for much of the past year. He previously missed large portions of the 2025 season due to a hamstring injury followed by knee troubles before finally returning to action. With another spell of rehabilitation ahead, manager Mikel Arteta is expected to handle his recovery cautiously in an effort to prevent any further setbacks.
Havertz’s latest absence leaves Arsenal without one of their versatile attacking options as they push to maintain rhythm across domestic and other competitions. The team will once again have to lean on its depth in the coming weeks.
