GOD LOVES YOU; LOVE HIM OR NOT.
*John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
*Even though we neither loved God by our conduct nor by keeping the Ten Commandments, yet God still went ahead to demonstrate His love for mankind by sacrificing His son Jesus Christ on the Cross to give us righteousness and salvation.
*God further demonstrated His love for us in the book of Romans 5:8 which says: “For God further demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
*From the above, and for reasons best known to Him, He decided to love us, all the same, whether we love Him or not. The Cross, therefore, remains the best reminder of God’s love for us, believers.
*Romans 5:19 says: “For as by one man’s disobedience, many were made sinners, so also by one man’s obedience, many will be made righteous.”
*Many of us today have become righteous by believing that Jesus Christ the righteous one, who died on the Cross to make the sinners righteous, brought us righteousness and gave us salvation; all because of God’s unconditional love for us believers.
*It is now up to us to see reason why we should love God back or not, after all the love, grace and mercy He has shown us. Let’s also not forget that it’s the love of God which has made us acceptable in the Beloved Son of God, Jesus Christ.
*Ephesians 1:6 says: “To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us acceptable in the Beloved.” If we were not accepted in the Beloved, Jesus Christ, He would not be sitting at the right hand of God the Father to facilitate our passage into the heavenly places.
