President Tinubu Praises Kwara Residents, Orders Swift Action Against Attackers

President Bola Tinubu has commended residents of the Kwara community that recently came under attack, praising them for standing firm against attempts to lure them into extremist activities.

According to him, their decision to reject teachings that encouraged violence was a powerful demonstration of unity and discipline.

The President noted that members of the community, though predominantly Muslim, chose not to align themselves with a doctrine that contradicted their values of peaceful coexistence. He described their stance as an affirmation of the nation’s collective commitment to dialogue, tolerance, and respect for human life.

Tinubu stressed that the attack underscored the need for improved security coordination. He urged both federal and state authorities to work more closely to offer relief to affected families and restore normalcy in the area. Such cooperation, he said, would help ensure that the perpetrators are tracked down and prevented from evading justice.

In his statement, the President highlighted the importance of providing immediate support to victims, including those who lost property or family members. He assured the community that the government would not abandon them and that those responsible for the violence would ultimately be held accountable under the law.

Tinubu also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives. He prayed for the repose of the deceased and extended condolences to grieving families.The President sympathized with the government and people of Kwara State, acknowledging the pain the incident has caused and promising continued federal assistance as investigations progress.

He reaffirmed that Nigeria must remain united in resisting groups or ideologies that threaten harmony.Tinubu emphasized that communities have a crucial role to play by reporting suspicious activities and refusing to support individuals who promote violence.
