SAM NKIRE ON SUNDAY

TODAY IS EASTER; AND THE BIBLE SAYS THERE’S NO SPOT IN THE BELIEVER.

*The Church is celebrating Easter today and the Bible says those who believe in Jesus Christ and His gospel, have no spot in them.

*Song of Solomon 4:7 says: “You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you.”

*Here, God referred to us members of the Church as people without spot, having been washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ; according to our faith in Christ’s complete work of redemption, on the Cross of Calvary.

*The Bible in 2Corithians 5:21says:”For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

*Today, we celebrate Easter because the blood of Christ, which was spilled at the Cross, blotted away our sins and gave us righteousness as a gift instead; and that is for whosoever believes.

* Hebrews 10:14-17 says:”For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before: This is the covenant that I will make with them after all those days, says the lord: I will put My laws in their hearts, and in their minds, I will write them.” Then He adds: “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

*Now that our Most Gracious God has made our ‘yoke light and easy’, by remembering our sins no more through Grace, let us not think that Grace is a licence to continue in sin. *No. Grace is, rather, meant to give us confidence and power to overcome sin through faith (Read Romans 6:1-2).

*Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, let us enjoy Easter the Christian way, happy that as believers in Jesus Christ, God now sees us as people without blemishes or spots; not because we earned or merited it, but because God gave us grace.
