ONLY BELIEVE, NOTHING MORE.
John 6:28 – 29 says, : What shall we do, that we may work the work of God? Jesus answered and said to them; “this is the work of God, that you believe Him whom He sent.”
*Not your tithe, not your obedience of the law, not your sowing of seed is more important than believing in Jesus Christ who God sent to save you and give you His gospel of grace. Believing in Jesus Christ is the WORK.
*From the quotation above, God is more interested in making you His Prince rather than His servant; giving you money rather than taking from you. This is not to say that you should not contribute to the spread of the gospel. NO; but when a church leader applies coercion as a tool of extortion, it is clear for many to see.
*Mark 5:36 – As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said unto the ruler of the Synagogue, “Be not afraid, only believe.” Unfortunately, believing has become the hardest thing for the so-called ‘believers.’
*Believing in Jesus Christ, the ‘sent’ one, is more profitable and rewarding than hardwork and self-effort put together. Let’s not forget that it is God who gives wisdom and strength to wake up in morning, to go about our businesses. So, all glory (not part) must be ascribed to the Almighty God, the father of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
*Every believer should know that the greatest miracle and gift to happen to him or her are salvation and forgiveness of sins, which cannot be obtained by hardwork or struggling; but by believing, or faith (which is not work).
*When you believe the gospel and the significance of Christ’s crucifixion on the Cross of Calvary, then the Holy Spirit which shall become indwelling in you will surely teach and lead you through the way you should go, and ofcourse that destination is heaven.
*Matthew 6:30 – 31 says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.”
*God wants to save and show us and our family members mercy because we are His beloved through Christ; not because of the money we give to Him or the work we do for him. God’s love has no condition attached. We go to God for rest and not for work (Matthew 11:28).
