SAM NKIRE ON SUNDAY

PEOPLE OF GOD SHOULD NOT PANIC.

*Romans 8:31 says:”What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

*The above passage does not say that we will never have obstacles or opposition. It gives the people of God the assurance that once they have God’s back, the opposition is doomed to fail.

*Once we give our lives to God through Christ, we should be able to rely on the Most Powerful Father who has promised to protect, provide for, and take care of all our problems and needs (Philippians 4:19).

*Further, the Bible also says in Romans 8:15 – “For you do not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of adoption by whom we cry Abba Father.”

*As children and heirs of God, it will be sheer foolhardiness to look elsewhere for anchor, protection or provision, when the Book of Peter 5:7 says: ” . . . casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.”

*For the people of God, the panacea of panic is to have faith and enter the rest of God. Hebrews 4:9 – 11 says:”There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest, has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter the rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.”

*People of God need not be anxious or panic for what to eat or wear; and whether to get well or not, because Philippians 4:6 says: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

*Last, but not the least: 1John 4:18 says – “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But He who fears has not been made perfect in love.”

*When enemies come against you, do not panic. Trust the Lord who loves you to surely come to your help.
