Street lighting is expanding across Aba through an initiative led by Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, the lawmaker representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency, also known as Onyeocha N’Aba.
The programme is designed not only to brighten roads but to strengthen security, support business activities after dark, and improve daily life for residents. Installation efforts now cover key roads as well as smaller inner streets, with visible changes emerging across different parts of the city.
Residents say the growing network of lights reflects steady progress, pointing to a safer environment and a more active night-time economy in Aba.
