Iran Threatens Wider Military Action if U.S. Strikes Continue

From Jide Ibiam

Iran has warned it could launch a full-scale military offensive if ongoing U.S. airstrikes persist over the next few days, signaling a possible escalation in the growing confrontation between the two countries.

Senior Iranian military adviser Major General Mohsen Rezaei said Tehran would abandon its current restrained approach if the attacks continue, warning that the conflict could expand beyond its present scope and that no political boundary would remain unaffected.

The warning follows several consecutive nights of U.S. strikes on Iranian military targets, further heightening tensions across the Middle East and raising concerns over the security of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

As the standoff intensifies, governments around the world have renewed calls for restraint, cautioning that a broader conflict could threaten regional stability and disrupt global energy markets.
