IF YOU’RE NOT FULL OF GOD, YOU’RE BY NO MEANS EMPTY.
*Believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ are encouraged, in fact commanded to be full of God and the Holy Spirit all the time; otherwise, something else will fill the void.
*In the beginning of Christianity, it was said that unless you were known to be filled with the Holy Spirit, you won’t be the best choice for leadership in the early church.
*Acts of the Apostles buttressed this point in chapter 6 verse 5:”And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Permenas and Nicolas a proselyte from Antioch; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.”
*Without being full of God or without the Holy Spirit occupying the mind and soul of the believer, there is no way the soul can remain empty. The devil is sure to take occupancy, in other to deceive and weaken the believer’s faith and belief in God.
*John 15:5 says:”I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.”
*Christianity is a journey you cannot complete successfully by being in the flesh and not filled with the Holy Spirit who will help and guide you all the way through.
*Further emphasis on the necessity of being full of God is made in Ephesians 3:19 which says you are “to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
*If you are not full of God through the Holy Spirit, then you must be filled with something else.
