REPENT, NOW! JUST DO IT!!
*At the beginning of the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ, after John the baptist had announced His coming, Jesus told the people of the world to repent and change their minds and ways of life; which were judged to be largely sinful and carnal.*
*In the book of Mark chapter 1 verse 15, Jesus said:”The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
*Repentance, believing and following Christ and His gospel, entail changing of one’s evil mind and sinful ways. One also needs to follow God’s will, rule and authority as enunciated in the gospel of Jesus Christ; for which He came to preach to the world.
*It is gladdening to note that believers in the gospel, only hope for gains and no losses. When one repents, it is for his or her own good.
*At repentance, the believer is spiritually transformed and restored to a peaceful and free person, with no guilt or iniquity; but with the Holy Spirit implanted in his or her heart to serve as a compass to show which spiritual way to follow.
*Moses spoke of the coming of Jesus Christ and His gospel in the book of Acts of the Apostles 3:23, saying:”And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.” The greatest gain we stand to make from repentance is that Jesus will save us from the damnation of burning in hell.
*In Christianity, the issue of repentance is not optional; it’s a compulsion. Jesus Himself warned in Luke 13:3:”I tell you, no; but unless you repent, you will all, likewise perish.”
*Repent, now! Just do it!! It’s for your own good!!!
