‘NO GREE FOR TEMPTATION’; RESIST THE DEVIL.
*We all know that the devil will keep tempting us if we do not totally submit to God’s way and will, by rejecting and rebuffing the advances of satan, the evil one. The devil does not move away until you give it a serious ‘shove of faith’.
*James, chapter 4 verse 7 says:”Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Once we can submit to the directions of the Spirit of God in us and not pay heed to the temptations and lies of the devil, the devil is bound to flee and move on.
*According to Ephesians 6:17, the Bible also says:”And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” By providing us His word which He gave through Jesus Christ His begotten Son, we are more than equipped with the armour to fight off the devil whenever it comes.
*1Peter 5:8, taking cognisance of the nature of the devil as a cunning, deceitful and wicked creature, warned people of God:”Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.”
*The Bible recognises the devil as man’s adversary, so you don’t go soft on the one seeking to devour or destroy you.
*Beleive God for faith. ‘No gree for the devil’; resist and say no to it with the word of God.
