MID-WEEK SERMONBY SAMUEL NKIRE

DON’T WORRY, WE’RE GOOD WITH GOD.

*For most of us, worrying is an unavoidable pastime. Once we are doing nothing or are less busy, we fall back on worrying; which turns out to be against God’s will for His children to whom He has promised abundance in everything.

*In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus told His followers while delivering His famous ‘sermon on the mount’ not to worry about life’s everyday needs and requirements, of which He already made adequate provisions for believers.

*Matthew 6:34, specifically said:”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own troubles.”

*This means that a true believer of the gospel ought not worry about today or tomorrow; what to eat, drink or wear on the body, as He has sufficiently provided for life itself.

*Believers are told in the Bible to use the name of Jesus Christ to get what they want or need. John 14:13-14 says:”And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” With God, all things are possible through faith in Christ.

*When Moses was in the wilderness with the children of Israel, God told him in Exodus 14:15-16, to use the power He had given him to solve problems, instead of crying to Him (God) always.

*We are good with God. Our Father in heaven has given us Jesus Christ, and we don’t need to worry always but to use the name of Jesus to get what we want in times of need.
