WHEN PRAISE AND WORSHIP BECOME INSTRUMENT OF MIRACLE FOR A NATION.
*That praise and worship can bring down miracles is no fiction but a fact that is backed by the Bible.
*Acts of the Apostles chapter 16:25-26 says:”But at midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed”.
*It is not also strange or uncommon to hear that the Bible is replete with stories of miracles caused by intense praying, praising and worshipping. Praying and worshipping are well-known tools for calling down miracles; and the Christians depend heavily on the practice.
*2Chronicles 20:22 says and I quote:”Now, when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated”.
The Bible here records that the people of Judah defeated their enemies, Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir during the reign of King Jehoshaphat by singing, praying and worshipping the Almighty God who set the invading armies against each other.
*Believers and people of faith, including nations at war, and those experiencing natural and economic disasters are told to present their requests to God through prayer, praise and worship for miraculous solutions.
*The book of Philippines 4:6-7 reads:”Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”.
*Considering the level of bad news about wars, natural disasters, economic hardship and general insecurity circulating in the world, many countries need to pray, fast, worship and request miraculous intervention from God.
*Nigeria our country isn’t exempt from needing a miracle; she requires economic healing, even as she celebrates the political independence she got from Britain on October 1, 1960.
