WHAT BELIEVERS SUFFER AS YOUNG CHRISTIANS
*Some of the teething problems and deficiencies baby or young Christians suffer but overcome, as they grow in their work and walk with Christ in the gospel, include lack of faith, lack of knowledge, lack of perseverance and lack of skill.
*Hebrews 5:13 says:” For everyone that partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe”.
*Most, if not all baby Christians or young believers, cannot withstand the devil; its wiles and tricks, with which satan deceives weak, new and inexperienced converts.
*Ephesians 6:11-12 says to the believer:”Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against the flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age; against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”.
*The situation may not be easy, but it doesn’t make the life of a baby Christian perilous. It rather makes it engaging and educative; and even emboldens the believer for future life of encounters.
*According to Galatians 5:16, the sure way to grow fast and overcome the ‘milk’ stage is to:”Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh”.
*Once the baby Christian yearns, and gets the Holy Spirit to live within him or her, unbelief and doubt will be replaced by faith; and the spirit of truth will surely teach the believer the deep things to come (John 16:13).
