HOW DELAYED ANSWER TO PRAYER ‘HELPS’ LONGEVITY.
*Although there is no specific verse in the Bible where it is expressly stated that people who wait for delayed answers to prayers live longer.
*However, men and women of God who wait on the Lord without doubt and anxiety, are known to live long and peaceful lives, in the hope that their expectations are sure and “shall not be cut off.”
*A true believer is expected to have divine peace, which strengthens
mental health and helps reduce high blood pressure. And this is scientific, too.
*For instance, while we wait and pray for assured answers, we contribute to our spiritual well-being, grow in faith and patience; cultivate inner peace, and ultimately increase in age.
*Isaiah 40:31says:”But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
*None of those known to have waited on the Lord for blessings is known to have been disappointed or to have died while in wait; not in the Bible.
*Habakkuk 2:3 says:”For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end of it will speak, and it shall not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
*We need patience and faith during our period of delayed response or answers because anxiety and impatience can adversely impact our health and shorten life or longevity.
*The epistle of James 1:3-4 says:”Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
*People of the Bible such as Sarah, the wife of Abraham; Hannah, the wife of Elkana; and Joseph, the Palace slave who became the Prime Minister of Egypt, did not die waiting for answers to delayed prayers. They lived long enough to receive their miracles.
