SAM NKIRE ON SUNDAY

LOOK UNTO JESUS, THE CROSS; NOT YOUR SIN.

*Hebrews 12:1-2 says: . . . “let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance, the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

*The good news from the foregoing passage is that rather than instilling fear and condemnation in us, it encourages us to focus on Jesus; the author and finisher of our faith who endured suffering and shame on the Cross of Calvary; a disgraceful event which was counted as more than enough price for our sins, forever.

*The death of Jesus Christ on the Cross not only serves as propitiation for our sins but also as healing for our diseases and poor conditions.

*The blood of Jesus Christ, which He shed on the Cross also, for believers, serves as solution to our problems and troubles; in that the book of Matthew 8:17 says:”That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying:”He himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

*If you are out of work, or have any need whatsoever; look to no other but Jesus who died on the Cross for you to be forgiven and catered for, among other things.

*Look unto Jesus, the beginning and the end; the author and finisher of our faith, whose complete work on the Cross we must believe to have faith to access His promise of good living, while here on earth (John 10:10).
