Member of the National Caucus and Pioneer Leader of the Abia State Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Sam Nkire, has reiterated his support for the re-election of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and Abia State’s Governor Alex Otti.
In a press statement he personally signed, Chief Nkire said President Tinubu needed a second term to consolidate his on-going programmes and projects, which could easily be disrupted by the intrusion or the introduction of new hands and ideas which another regime was capable of foisting.
According to the APC leader, “it will be catastrophic to disrupt Tinubu’s programmes and projects which renowned economic experts and bodies have approved and acknowledged, only to begin another long journey in the dark”.
On his endorsement for Governor Otti’s second-term in Abia State, Chief Sam Nkire said, “no one needs the mirror to look at his or her wristwatch”, adding that not giving a man adjudged to be the best governor in Nigeria a second chance would be both unthinkable and unfair; and stated that ‘a labourer is worthy of his wages’.
