SAM NKIRE ON SUNDAY

IF YOU WANT TO BE JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW, YOU CAN’T BENEFIT FROM GRACE.

*Those who want to be righteous by obeying the law; and attempt to be justified by the Ten Commandments, cannot benefit from the grace of God but must work out their salvation.

*Galatians 5:4-5 says:”You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.”

*Therefore, if you insist on making yourself righteous by working it out through obedience of the law, you lose the right to grace and will have no hope of righteousness by faith.

*John 6:28-29 says: Then they said to Him, “what shall we do that we may work the work of God?” Jesus answered and said to them: “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

*Before the coming of Jesus Christ, it was said that keeping the Ten Commandments was hard to observe perfectly. And it was for this reason that Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30:”Come to me all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light:”

*Grace by faith is easy and light but the law is hard and heavy. It is either you choose grace or the law.
