KEEP HOPING, YOU PRISONERS OF HOPE IN GOD.
*You must have heard many public speakers and politicians urge their listeners or audiences to keep hope alive, in anticipation of better services and conditions of living and livelihood which they retunely promise but hardly keep.
*The Bible, however, tells us to have no other hope but hope in Christ; hope of the restoration of double for our trouble; hope of forgiveness and redemption from our lawless deeds to salvation.
*The book of Zachariah 9:12 says:”Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today, I declare that I will restore double to you.”
*In the kingdom of God, there is, however, a thin line between hope and faith, and both are not only interchangeable but perpetual and not one-off.
*When you put your hope in Christ Jesus, you must be patient and wait until God answers your prayer. Hope in God is not the hopeless type. This hope is more than a sure bet.
*When God spoke through Prophet Zachariah, He told believers to go back to hoping and believing in His promises which never fail.
*The stronghold is a place of waiting in “prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.” God does not keep us waiting forever, but we must be patient enough to wait for God’s timing.
*The book of John Chapter 5 verse 5, further reassures believers of the sanctity of waiting in the Lord for the granting of our requests. And it reads:”Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
*Howbeit, a prisoner of hope in God, has no comparison to a hopeless free agent, up and about town. God must answer.
