Pioneer Leader of Caucus, Abia State branch of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Sam Nkire has called for an immediate cessation to the media exchanges between the followers of the former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzo Kalu and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ben Kalu.
Speaking through the New Outlook, Chief Nkire said it sends an ominous sign for the two APC bigwigs to advertise their disagreement at this critical period of vote hunting and electioneering.
The former National Chairman of the Progressive People’s Alliance PPA, which won elections in both Abia and Imo States in 2007, added: “this is quite an ominous sign, for this to be happening when Abia APC needs all the unity it can muster to win the next presidential and state elections.”
According to Chief Nkire, “a patriot is not a man or woman who fights for ego and self-interest but one who takes the blows for followers and others.”
The APC leader said that the two Kalus should count themselves privileged to have Abia State APC’s future revolve around them. He further added that “win or lose this time around, will depend on how they play.”
